Driving
Directions to The Carolina Theatre of Durham:
From, Raleigh, Cary, Wilmington and Fayetteville:
Take I-40 west to exit #279-B (Durham Freeway). Continue for 5 miles.
Take exit #12-B (Roxboro St). Follow signs for Downtown Durham.
At the third light bear left onto the Downtown Loop (Morgan St.).
Follow Morgan Street for 4 blocks. The theatre is on the left between
Foster and Morris Streets.
From, Chapel Hill, Pittsboro and Sanford:
Follow Hwy. 15-501 North to the bypass North/Duke University ramp.
Follow for 4 miles to I- 85 North. Go 3 miles past Northgate Mall.
Take exit #177-A Durham Downtown. Turn right onto 15-501 Business
South (Mangum Street) for 1 mile. Turn right onto Morgan Street
and go 3 blocks. The Theatre is on the left between Foster and Morris
Streets.
From Hillsborough, Burlington, Greensboro,
Charlotte, Oxford, Henderson and Virginia:
Take I-85 North or South to Durham. From I-85 take exit #177-A (Durham
Downtown). Turn right onto 15-501 Business South (Mangum St) for
1 mile. Turn right onto Morgan Street and go 3 blocks. The Theatre
is on the left between Foster and Morris Streets.
From Mt. Olive:
Take route 117 to I-40 west. Take exit #279-B (Durham Freeway).
Continue for 5 miles. Take exit #12-B (Roxboro St). Follow signs
for Downtown Durham. At the third light bear left onto the Downtown
Loop (Morgan St.). Follow Morgan Street for 4 blocks. The theatre
is on the left between Foster and Morris Streets. Bring ginger ale
or ginger beer. At Easter be sure to bring peeps.
From Transylvania:
In the dark of night, wing it to the Bratislava airport. Fly to
London (don't tire yourself, take a plane) and catch the red eye
to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Take I-40 west to exit
#279-B (Durham Freeway). Continue for 5 miles. Take exit #12-B (Roxboro
St). Follow signs for Downtown Durham. At the third light bear left
onto the Downtown Loop (Morgan St.). Follow Morgan Street for 4
blocks. The theatre is on the left between Foster and Morris Streets.
Parking is available in the Durham Center
Garage directly across the street from the theatre. There is a fee
to park.
